Welcome
Welcome to the marina of Jachtclub Hedel. Our club marina is located on the right bank of the Maas, near the characteristic traffic bridge and rail bridge. When you enter the harbor entrance at kilometer number 220, you will see the Hedel starboard. You can moor at the reporting tower or immediately take a berth. The free berths are marked with a green sign. Our neat, quiet harbor meets the requirements of the current time. All passers-by berths are equipped with side jetties. They are particularly appreciated by dog owners and our guests who like to go out by bike. Or do the shopping. Electricity and (free) water are available on every jetty. There is free wifi and of course the port has a neat sanitary room that is open 24 hours. Your safety has also been considered. That is why the gate is closed (electronically) day and night. You can easily open the gate with an access code. There is video surveillance and swimming stairs and fire extinguishers have been installed in various places. For questions, advice and assistance you can contact the supervisor who lives on the ark. You will receive the WiFi code and the access code of the port from the supervisor. The supervisor can be reached on 06-42840002. When you leave the harbor via the footbridge you are immediately on the main street through Hedel. A few hundred meters away is a cozy shopping center with various restaurants, a Jumbo supermarket, a cash machine and various nice shops. Adjacent is the Kleindieren hiking park that can be visited free of charge. There is a shop for boat and motorhome supplies near the harbor. Hedel, nowadays part of the Municipality of Maasdriel, has been around for centuries. The foundations of Hedel castle have recently been made visible again. The Hedel Historical Museum is located in the old town hall and, in addition to a unique collection of coins, houses many archaeological finds. There are two monuments in the center that recall the fierce battle that took place in Hedel just weeks before the end of the Second World War. For many recreational cyclists, Hedel is also a popular starting and ending point for cycling tours through the Bommelerwaard. Places such as Zaltbommel and Ammerzoden are nearby. The medieval Ammersoyen castle (built around the year 300) is definitely worth a visit. In short, there is plenty to see and experience in Hedel and the surrounding area. We wish you a pleasant stay in our marina.
